After 2 years the temperature regulator acted up, which also caused the non-resettable overheat protector to blow out.
The warranty is only one year, so we are out over $ 200 in parts and labor for replacing those 2 parts.
Now, the same thing is happening a second time, but we are able to use it by never turning the knob past Medium-Low.
Kitchen-Aid gouges you on replacement parts that are as low in quality and limited in warranty as the originals. Also, I think they are neglecting their customers when they design in an overheat protector that is non-resettable and expensive.
It's a real insult to pay top dollar for an appliance like this and then go through so much expense and hassle.
