Norpro Nonstick Extendable Pizza Crisper Baking Sheet Review

(More customer reviews)Says it expands so you can fit it into the slots on the sides of the oven (essentially making it it's own rack). This is only the case if you have a small/compact oven (the weird kind in some smaller apartments and in some kitchens I've seen in Europe). I have a standard-size (I think around 23" wide) oven, and even with the expanding handles, it doesn't come close to fitting.
This is, of course, not a big deal. I just set it on top of another rack.
I whipped up some pizza dough and rolled it right on this rack-- no flour dusting! No kidding! The non-stick is great. I made it pretty thin, topped it up, and baked for about 15 minutes at 475. The pizza was great. It was actually better with this pan than with my pizza stone (let the record show that I like *crispy* pizza...). It was crisp on the bottom, but still chewy. I could pick up a slice by the crust, and it didn't flop at all. That's how I like it. For reference, my home-made crust turned out similar to what you get with the (par-baked) Frescetta "Brick Oven" pizzas (the only good frozen pizzas, as far as I'm concerned).
Advantages:
1. Roll/prepare right on the sheet! No messing with a pizza peel!
2. Crust turns out great, and no sticking.
3. lightweight, easy to use, easy to clean, and cheap.
4. IMO, better results than with a stone.
5. No one-hour warm-up like when using a stone.
Disadvantages:
1. Doesn't expand to full width of a normal oven; must be used like a regular pan.
2. Warped a bit (the "pan twist") during baking; resumed normal shape upon cooling.
summary: FIVE stars for performance, but stupid size...
This is a no-brainer. If you're experimenting with making your own pizzas, definitely drop your $20 on this toy. Then if you use it for bread or cookies, let us know about it!!!

They are fantastic, easy to use clean and store.
Our new glass pizza plates make the best pizza's you can get anywhere. We cook and serve the pizza's directly from the glass plates, yes I cut the pizza's on the glass plated very carefully. They clean up so easy it is almost child's play. Even the cheese that manages to fall off the pizza dough and gets cooked by itself comes off of the glass plates real easy, as good as a non stick pan. Well worth every dollar I spent.
I recommend these whole heartedly.

After many years, the dishwasher has left its etching, but the bowl is rock solid and the measurement lines are still clearly visible. Even the plastic lid is still in good shape!
No toxic chemicals from glazes or plastics, inexpensive, a solid work horse, so it is just the sort of item our grandparents would have used all of their lives without thinking they needed something newer, better, or fancier.

I bought a slow cooker and bought this warranty. Both products are still working great (knock on wood) and my interaction with Squaretrade so far gives me every indication that they would have my back if one of these products crapped-out on me. Receipts are maintained online and correspondence is via email. It couldn't be easier. The price is the most reasonable of any warranty programs I have found. For example, the television warranty (Squaretrade) I bought was more than half as much as the same warranty offered by the seller. And the Squaretrade warranty was a year longer! Do your own comparisons. You won't be disappointed. If I ever make a claim, I will update this review.

Most whole chickens in the market are FAT, and this drains the fat off the vertical chicken very effectively. Also, all the juices are retained in the dripping pan. When the chicken is nice and crisp, we enjoy it but we put the dripping pan into the fridge. In the morning, we skim off and discard the hardened fat and freeze the nonfat drippings in a baggie to flavor future chicken dishes.
I've used the vertical roasters that are painted black, but the black paint eventually puffs and peels. This unit's stainless steel is durable, hygienic, and easy to wash.

(More customer reviews)I would highly recommend not buying this product. The control panel is made of a cheap plastic that scratches easily and costs a fortune to replace.
Someone cleaned the front of our microwave and scratched the panel. Unfortunately, you cannot simply replace the 25 cent piece of pastic, you have to order the entire component with all the electronics for $117 from GE. Then they schedule a repair. They will not tell you how much a repair is on the phone. The technician arrived at our house and charged us $150 for 15 minutes of labor. If you decide not to have the repair, it costs $99 to cancel te repair. So they got you!
This scratch on our microwave cost a total of $270 to repair.
We live in a new community and this microwave was a standard option for all of the new homes. Many of our neighbors are dealing with the same issue. Stay away from this product!

I wish you didn't have to reset the toaster settings every single time you make toast, though. That kept it from being 5 stars, as I like every thing else about it. The crumb tray is nice and big, and the styling is attractive. It doesn't get blazing hot on the exterior, and has a nice big glass door. But if you are a toast person 90% of the time, I might keep looking.

(More customer reviews)In late September of 2007 I purchased a DCM24 Convection Microwave oven for $550 and had it built in which cost more than the DCM24. I had 5 problems with this appliance with the most serious being its 1) Popcorn and other things cannot be cooked without inverting a glass dish on the turntable otherwise the microwave worked fine, but the same cannot be said for the convection oven; 2) When cooking with convection it has a strong fan that circulates the heat around the oven, but it also circulates the smells from the oven all over the house; 3) It was a mess to clean the inside of the oven after cooking meat and other items (other than baking breads)with convection; 4) When cooking meat and casseroles, it took much longer than the cookbook predicted time, but I will say that it did a good job baking rolls and muffins; 5)MOST IMPORTANTLY when it was 22 months old it DIED: the only things that worked were the light and the fan. I called a Dacor appliance repairman and they took it in to the shop to diagnose the problem. Several days later I was told that it would cost $355 to have it repaired. I told them that they could keep it. I will purchase a Sharp microwave - I've had 2 of them that lasted for over 10 years, and an Oster toaster oven for a small convection oven.

I did about 8 minutes on one side and about 2 minutes on the other side. It was surprise after surprise. I heard sizzling sound of steak grilling on the pan when I took it out of a microwave oven. The sound that you would never, ever expect from microwave cooking! It was beautiful! Then, when I slice it to taste it, I saw a perfect pink in the middle, not too rare but not too cooked. By the time, you put a slice in your mouth, you couldn't believe it. It truly was too good to be true! My husband always complains about my steak since I tend to overcook it and turns out too dry. I couldn't help it. But, not this time! He was amazed with its taste and when I told him I cooked it in microwave, he said, "No way!" I replied back and said, "Yes, way, baby!" I also cooked fish fillets. Frozen or fresh, it didn't matter. It always turned out beautifully, juicy and tasty. Now, I prepare a meal in a jiffy, yet, tasty. Ever since I got my hands on a Microhearth, I haven't turned on my oven since! Talking about big saving in energy cost....anything helps in these days.....I'm so happy that I found Microhearth in my life and I recommend it to anyone who has microwaves but who doesn't own one in these days! Just put it at work right way!

(More customer reviews)I own one of these and like it a lot. About the only complaint I have is that the top is relatively thin and doesn't look substantial like a cutting board. However, I can open one wing, put a rectangular stool under it and put hardwood cutting boards on top and it is a really neat piece that fits diagonally in the middle of my kitchen. I do almost all my chopping and mixing there.

The granite isn't perfect (it has some natural imperfections), but that is to be expected with any natural element. The wood is very sturdy, and the casters aren't the cheaply made crap you find on most pieces under $100. The wine rack is just perfect, and the drawer is awesome! It took my husband about 30 minutes to assemble it. The instructions were horrible, but none of the pieces were missing. We put our microwave on top of this cart (which isn't light by any means) to free up some counter space in our kitchen and it works perfectly. If you need a kitchen cart and like the way this looks, don't hesitate to buy it! I'd give it six stars if I could.
