So each time I want to use the microwave, I have to read the plate. The handles of the cups tend to "fall off" when in use. Very poor make.

(More customer reviews)I really like this product and wanted to let shoppers looking for greener ways to clean know about these natural fiber sponges.But - after reading the reviews already posted here - one saying that this sponge is dangerous for people with nut allergies - I decided I better do some checking on it before I actually steered someone with nut allergies to possible dangerous effects. I called the 3M toll free number on the back of the package. 1-800-846-8887.
The representive assured me that this product has absolutely no nut products in it and is quite safe. There was an earlier product that was made from walnuts but hasn't been produce in over 2 years.She was very helpful and went on to tell me that the scrubber side is made from the Agave plant - I had to look that one up and found it was a plant from the amaryllis family, which I also had to look up and found it is a bulbous flowering plant. The sponge side is cellulose found in fiber(the package says "recycled paper").So there is no danger lurking in this newer product. There is a warning on the package though that it should not be used to clean aquariums.

As for the product's effectiveness - it's great! A non-scratch sponge,I found it worked as good as the Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty scrubber for cleaning - although you may have to add just a little more elbow grease for really tough stuck or baked on stuff. The scruby side doesn't last quite as long as the Heavy Duty, but pretty close, and I like to change my sponges ocassionally and use the old ones for things other than my dishes and counters before I toss them. The sponge side is pretty thick, very spongy - almost fluffy - and doesn't wear down much at all.
Also - at this time - this multi-pack of 12 is a great buy - compared to buying a single of the natural fiber sponge at my local market.It does come out more expensive then the original Heavy Duty sponge - it always seems going green costs a little more! Prices do change though so check this against you store price. You may want to start with one from your store anyway to see if you like it before buying a dozen anyway.
Another good way to go all natural! Maybe someday, manufacturers of "greener" products will figure out a way to package them in something other than plastic wrap or containers.

(More customer reviews)These are BPA free, in case anyone was wondering. I looked on the Ball website before ordering, and it also confirmed it on the packaging. They should mention this in the description!
Anyway, I use these for just about everything. I bought a 30 pack, and just came back for more! I do a lot in bulk, and freeze small portions of pizza sauce, soup, etc. My recent discovery of homemade yogurt has been my biggest excitement for these little jars!
My kids love, LOVE fruit on the bottom yogurt. I hate all the sugar added. I started making my own yogurt, using my crockpot (just google crockpot homemade yogurt, it is super-easy!) and fresh or frozen fruit on the bottom, and the kids get SOOOO excited picking out their own individual container. They are easy enough for my kindergartener to remove the lid at lunch, but the seal is solid. Did I mention I am saving a small fortune on these individual yogurts, now that I can reuse these containers?
Back to these little containers though. The ones I already have are going strong after over a year of use. No leaking, stack perfectly, and they clean up beautifully in the dishwasher. For plastic, they are durable! I did break one when I dropped it on concrete while it had frozen soup, but that is the only one that has been damaged. These are a great value! I highly recommend them, and may be back for more if I find that 60 is not enough. : )

(More customer reviews)This is a great little basic pie plate, especially if you're starting out in a new kitchen. It's also great for heating up fish too in the microwave and baking it in the oven for one or two people. It's not a deep dish pie plate and certainly, don't take it from the fridge and put it in the oven. Pyrex is notorious for their exploding dishes. That said, for what it is price-wise, you'll get a good dish that's very versatile but works well too. It scratches rather easily so be careful with clean up and cutting too. Nice plate - I've had mine for 15 years and it's still going strong.

(More customer reviews)This bowl is beautiful! If you are looking for a large shallow bowl, this is a great choice. However, before you buy, make sure this is what you are looking for. It really is a large bowl!!
I have a large family so I thought the 2 qt would be perfect for serving many things for us. It really is, however I really only need one bowl like this. Sight unseen, I started with 2 and now wish I'd bought one 2 qt and one 1 qt instead.
This bowl is heavy. It feels heavier to me than any other Fiestaware I own. If you have the cereal bowls that come with a set, think of this as a huge one of those. Somewhat shallow compared to it's diameter. That make it the perfect size though for things like corn on the cob. It also holds a large dish of anything I want to serve. It works well for pop corn. You can use it with fruit on the counter. I've read reviews that say it makes a great dog dish too. This size would be for a very large dog though. I think the smaller size would fit more dogs most likely.
You can bake in this bowl. It is nice to have this for one pot entrees from fridge to oven to table. The only thing I'd really like to see improved on this would be for it to have a lid! I like lids on my serveware and fiesta is not good about offering much with lids. Lids could even be sold separately and I'd buy a couple!!! You can put a fiesta plate on top of this bowl if you don't have anything tall in the bowl. It isn't very convenient though compared to a real lid.

My only issue is that I ordered it with expedited delivery to tackle a stinky dog who got sprayed or rolled in something. But it took a week for the Orange Stuff to show up - and by then, the stink was very much a part of this dog. Company did refund my shipping fee - hopefully this is a onetime error.

Glass, so no lead in the glaze worries.
Lightweight so they are not as hard on the cupboard or the dishwasher, and they are easy to pick up and carry around.
Strong-does not chip easily.
Microwave safe for reheating leftovers or a can of soup, right in the bowl.
Decent size bowl with a nice wide rim that helps prevent sloshing over.
Food looks nice in the clear glass.
Con:
A sticker on each bowl. It would be better not to have to scrape the stickers and glue off of each and every bowl. It's a pain.
Other than wishing the bowls didn't have a sticker on each, I can't think of anything I do not like about these bowls.

(More customer reviews)This is one of those rare products that is very cheap and yet well-made. I like to make fresh juice for drinking later. Since juice doesn't stay fresh long, you want to seal it really well, preferably in a canning jar with an airtight lid. Since canning jars are rather heavy to carry around, I tried these. Heck, for pocket change, I'll try anything.
They're perfect! While the little lid looks flimsy, it actually provides such a solid seal that I can bounce it around in my purse and it does not leak. What's more, my homemade juice tastes like new when I crack it open, better than a glass jar. They are made from durable #5 plastic, which is one of the re-usable types least likely to leach bad stuff into your beverage. After I drink my juice, I seal them back up so they don't dry up and that makes it a breeze to clean it when I get home by just running a quick sponge over it. I've used them for juice, salad dressing, yogurt, sauces... nothing has stained the plastic yet. I haven't tried them in a microwave or dishwasher; I don't know if I would because I'd hate for the lid to warp.

(More customer reviews)My local grocer gave these away as a promotion. They really are great bowls--heavy duty construction, locking lids--all very nice.
The instructions on the lid said to remove it before microwaving. So I unhooked the lid from the bowl, and removed it. Then, to keep the contents from popping all over the microwave, I loosely laid the lid on top of the bowl. This was a huge mistake.
Microwaving it that way forced the lid to cave in on the bowl, creating a suction so strong that I couldn't remove the lid at all. This then turned the bowl into a pressure cooker that kept heating the contents even 5 minutes after I took it out of the microwave. 10 minutes later, the pressure caused the bowl to start caving in on itself.

Maverick Redi-Check Pro LCD Food Probe Thermometer Review

(More customer reviews)This thermometer has been very accurate for the wide variety of uses to which I've subjected it so far. This includes not only meats (we're talking steak, hotdogs, salmon, chicken, any kind of meat) but leftovers I microwaved (curiosity) water for proofing yeast (I never followed that part of the recipe before) and even bathwater (again, curiosity.)
I gave this thermometer 4 stars instead of 5 because it is very sensitive. Or maybe it is afraid of the dark. You see, I keep it in a drawer. It really, *really* seems to like being used because every time I open that drawer something bumps against it and I hear the little chirp of my thermometer turning on.
Also, one time I heard a very quiet high-pitched sound and it was the thermometer which was on. I had trouble figuring it out at first, but the sound was so persistent that I finally figured it out. So now I am paranoid when I open the drawer and hear the chirp, that it will stay on and make that noise again.
